Wardens of the Sacred Oak

“Rest, oh Guardian

Drenched in Light as in life

Stand silent, dear Vigilant

Through dread, and dew-dropped hours

Through dark and cursed night.”

Our Role Within the Silver Hand

The Wildsworn function as scouts in wartime, using their knowledge of the frontier and their ability to thrive in the world's wild places to gather information and ward against danger. In peacetime, they work beside the citizens of war-torn places to rebuild and regrow in destruction's wake.

The Tenets

Nurture

All life is sacred, not just sapient life. It should be fostered, protected, and helped to grow until it can stand on it's own. Creating, rehabilitating, rebuilding, and healing should be considered sacred charges to those blessed by the Light.

Preserve

Be the light of hope in the world, and a shield for those who cannot yet protect themselves. Stand tenacious against the darkness, but do not forget to feed your Light, and your fellows'. If we do not stoke our inner fire, it will make a poor beacon in the blackest hours.

Grow

Not just within nature, but within ourselves. Each living being is a seed, and we should strive to reach our full potential. To branch out, pursue our interests, and learn as much as possible about the world around us. Stand against wickedness in the world, but offer redemption. For even when one seems lost, growth is still possible.

The Sacred Oak

Planted atop the final resting place of the order's founder Emma Cleyre, the Sacred Oak is a massive, ancient tree growing deep within the wealds of Autumnhearth. It functions as the centerpiece for many of the Wyldsworn's rituals, and is one of their most sacred charges. Rumor has it that the first Horned Knight was so dedicated to her cause, that her spirit still guards the forest and guides her descendants.
